HBSI, in conjunction with the Business Brokers Network (BBN was founded in 1981), offers business brokerage services from offices located in San Diego county. Our Staff
Our staff includes experts in all aspects of business brokerage. Our professionals adhere to the practices and standards of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), the American Business Brokers Association (ABBA) and the California Association of Business Broker (CABB). We also work with a proven team of attorneys, CPAs and financial professionals experienced in business brokerage transactions in order to remove any uncertainties from the deal. Mike Holland, President, HBSI
Mike has more than thirty five years of business experience, including senior management positions in privately held, public and employee owned companies. His experience marketing to and working with many U. S. Government agencies and large and small defense contractors will benefit many current business owners. He also has a number of years of both national and international commercial business experience, working with many of the large oil companies and their suppliers.
His most recent position prior to becoming a business broker was as Vice President and General Manager of a division of a $300 M employee owned company. Mike was one of the major share owners. Over a period of seven years, Mike grew the division from $7 M in sales, with forty employees, to over $16 M in sales, with over 100 employees. He was directly involved in all aspects of business operations, from business development, finances, legal issues, marketing, operations, supply chain management, personnel recruitment and management and cash flow. From a select group of over 1300 professionals, he was recognized as Employee of the Year.
In 2003, Mike became an affiliate of the Business Brokers Network (BBN). He has received training in all aspects of business brokerage from BBN and the California Association of Business Brokers (CABB). He is certified as a Business Transfer Specialist and a Financial Recasting Consultant. He is also a candidate for the title of Certified Business Broker. He is a member of CABB, the American Business Brokers Association (ABBA) and the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA). He earned a Bachelors Degree from Clemson University and a Masters and Doctoral Degree from the University of Virginia. He lives with his wife, Judy, in Carlsbad, CA. They have four daughters and three grandchildren. A fourth one is expected later this year.
